Arinze Ifeakandu is a brilliant fiction writer, A Public Space Writing Fellow, and an AKO Caine Prize for African Writing finalist. When Arinze approached us to redesign his existing website, it was riddled with malware and was not ranking for searches related to his name or work. His first book, God’s Children Are Little Broken Things, was launching in June 2022 so the website needed an overhaul.

Here’s what we did:

• Redesigned the website to meet his taste—a minimal black-and-white design.
• Incorporated features that were important to his work and book launch—an elegant listing of his writing and interviews plus an events calendar that allows readers to keep track of his reading events.
• Cleaned up the website for malware and optimized for search results. Today, his website currently ranks on page 1 for most searches related to his name. This helps readers who are just discovering his work for the first time.
